Michel Azarian 1976 - 2017 Michelazarian.net is the future digital monument for our missed Michel. A bright light and a smile to cherish his memory and celebrate his life. Michel Azarian was the 44th fatality of the wildfires that devastated northern California in October 2017. Caught outside overnight as the Tubbs Fire swept into Santa Rosa late on October 8th, Michel fought bravely for his life for seven weeks but succumbed to his wounds on November 26th. Michel was born in Lebanon during the civil war in that country. Despite the war's shattering impact on his early life, Michel was determined to advance his education. He earned his BSEE from the American University of Beirut in 2002, and completed his MSEE at the University of Texas at Austin in 2008. In 2016, Michel joined Keysight Technologies after working for other technology companies in the United States. Michel's life was full of energy and joy, and his love of photography exceeded everything else. He traveled the world extensively, and he enjoyed meeting new people and experiencing other cultures. Often accompanied by family and friends, Michel trotted the globe to hike its mountains and capture its amazing scenery with his camera. Keysight Technologies dedicated a memorial bench and a tree as a lasting reminder and celebration of Michel's life. Gone now but never forgotten... |
